CA Techologies Hires Former Intuit Exec As Channel Manager

Schaknowski will start in the new job on June 6 where he will focus on global channel sales strategies, program design and partner enablement, according to a CA statement. He will work with other members of CA's sales organization to expand sales of on-premise products into new accounts, the company said.

Schaknowski will report to David Bradley, senior vice president for global channel sales. He is taking the post previously held by Eli Kalil who has moved to the North America channel sales team where he now serves as Vice President, Solution Provider Sales.

Schaknowski "has extensive experience in building solution provider sales programs and driving revenue," Bradley said in a statement. "Growth of our channel sales is a priority for CA technologies and BJ will play a key role in making that happen."

At the time of his departure from Intuit Schaknowski led the company's Emerging Channels organization, which included solution provider, distribution, direct market reseller, OEM, education, hosting, franchise and ISV channels. He joined Intuit in January 2008 to lead the company's midmarket and retail solution, and direct and channel sales teams. He was promoted in 2009 to a new role with responsibility for the overall development and execution of the company's newly consolidated solution provider channel strategy.
