Synnex Launches Cloud Services Platform For VARs

The CloudSolv platform, powered by Microsoft Azure, lets VARs and ISVs to market and sell cloud services as well as the ability to provision, bill and manage disparate cloud services.

VARs — and their customers — have access to "digital lockers" to manage their cloud-based application subscriptions but also legacy software license keys. Solution providers can also add their own professional service products to the CloudSolv platform, according to Synnex, which announced the platform at its annual National Partner Conference in Greenville, S.C.

Solution providers can use pre-configured bundles or add their own service SKUs to bundle with other products. Customers can be billed automatically and the VAR's dashboard includes order fulfillment status, a manageable product catalog that can create special offers, and viewable invoices that can be exported into accounting applications.

Services available from Synnex through CloudSolv include hosted Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, a CloudSolv Mail open source e-mail solution, Applicor CRM, Intronis Cloud Backup and Symantec Endpoint Protection, according to Synnex. Starting with these services, VARs can create their own customized cloud apps marketplaces by vertical markets or for specific end users.
