WATCH: SADA Systems CEO's Top Takeaways From Google Cloud Next
Solution provider Tony Safoian sees a bright future for the Google Cloud Platform.
’I think it’s no doubt in anyone’s mind how serious Google is about the enterprise in 2018,’ he told CRNtv at the Google Next conference in San Francisco. Safoian is the CEO and president of Los Angeles-based SADA Systems, a premier cloud solutions provider specializing in technology consulting, IT services, application development, and managed services.
’This is kind of like their backyard. This is their technology that they developed over time and I think there is a significance to that,’ said Safoian. He told CRNtv he was particularly impressed to hear announcements around the G Suite platform, like the release of Google Voice for enterprise.
’Up until this year, we saw stagnation in the evolution of the email and collaboration suite,’ he said. ’There had been some updates that were very important, but nothing like this,’ he said.
Google Voice has been a beloved consumer product for some time, but Google is ready to reveal a new beta version of its Google Voice for the enterprise through its G Suite Early Adopter program. Google Voice, which will be powered by Google AI, will allow administrators to set policies and assign numbers to users. The product also includes timestamps and voicemail transcription.
Google also enhanced Cloud Search, a tool launched last year that businesses can use to search across their company’s content, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Calendar. Google recognizes that information is often spread across many systems and users need the right data at the right time, so the company expanded a new functionality that lets users index third-party information, whether it's in the cloud or on-premises.
