Zix AppRiver Secure Cloud And Pizza: The Channel Cooking At Home
‘Pizza has become about as American as hot dogs and burgers but with this quick and easy recipe we take it back to its Italian roots,’ says Zix’s Justin Gilbert.
Zix’s Justin Gilbert and his son Oliver join CRNtv’s Jennifer Zarate in this week’s episode of The Channel Cooking At Home, rolling out some fresh pizza dough for an Italian savory dish, while talking about the company’s latest integrated cloud platform, Zix AppRiver Secure Cloud.
Here’s a look at the finished product!
INGREDIENTS
Pizza Dough (recipe of choice)
Mozzarella
Balsamic Reduction
Prosciutto
Fresh Minced Garlic
Red Pepper Flake
Dried Italian Seasoning or Oregano
Salt and Pepper
Olive Oil
Arugula
Parmesan Cheese
Lemon Juice
Flour for Dusting
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Prep
To prepare the dough, use your favorite recipe and make plenty so that you can freeze the dough for future pizzas.
To prepare the balsamic reduction, place 1-2 cups of balsamic vinegar in a small sauce pan over medium heat.
Heat until bubbling and stir occasionally.
Reduce heat to medium-low and continue to simmer until reduced by about half and thickened. Be sure it doesn’t boil, just simmers.
Cool and store in fridge for up to a month.
Mince Garlic, and cut up mozzarella.
Step 2: Baking Dough
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
Roll out pizza dough on flour dusted surface.
Place on a well-oiled sheet pan.
Top it with more olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic, red pepper flake, and dried oregano.
Put it in oven for about 12 minutes at 400 degrees.
Step 3: Time for Toppings
Remove the now baked dough from the oven, and place mozzarella (be generous here) and prosciutto on top.
Bake for about 5 minutes at 400 degrees.
While pizza is baking mix arugula with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper (to taste, no measurements required).
Step 4: Finish it up
Remove the pizza from the oven and top with dressed arugula.
Add shaved parmesan (you can grate, but who doesn’t love large amounts of this stuff!).
Drizzle balsamic reduction on top for a sweet finish to counter the salty prosciutto and enjoy!
Step 5: How to use the leftovers
Re-heat the pizza in an oven at 400 degrees for a few minutes.
Fry an egg over medium high heat in an oiled pan.
Remove pizza and put egg on top of pizza for an awesome breakfast pizza!
