Ricoh Americas Names New CEO
Brodigan is a 20-year Ricoh veteran and most recently was executive vice president and COO for Ricoh Americas, responsible for sales and service channels for Ricoh in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Before that he was executive vice president and CFO for Ricoh Americas, president and CEO of Ricoh's U.S. operations and Ricoh's global services business leader. He also had executive roles in Ricoh's European and Canadian organizations.
In a statement, Togashi described Brodigan as a "talented leader with a broad base of sales, operations and financial experience to lead Ricoh Americas Corporation going forward."

"We have a compelling vision for the future and will continue to transform our business model to provide our customers with the integrated services, expertise and technology they need to help manage information and workflow throughout their organizations," Brodigan said in a statement.
Ricoh, like the other major printing and imaging vendors with which it competes, has built out managed document services and other technology practices as it moves beyond its legacy office equipment businesses. Ricoh in early 2011 pledged to invest $300 million in its managed document services business over a three-year time frame, hoping to generate $3.3 billion in revenue and 28 percent of its overall revenue.
In a 2011 report looking at managed print services vendors, researcher IDC saluted Ricoh's consistent global structure for managed print services delivery.
"Ricoh's development of its global scope (consistent global structure, governance and process) is one of the biggest differentiators," wrote Holly Muscolino, IDC research director for Hardcopy Peripherals: Software and Services.
Other big Ricoh moves in recent years include its acquisition of Ikon Office Solutions and last summer's debut of the eQuill tablet and a set of back-end digital workflow services to be sold through the channel.
Also in 2011, Ricoh entered the unified communications business with a new offering that integrates video, voice and other tools. Rising videoconferencing software player Vidyo is a Ricoh OEM partner for those products.
Ricoh Americas parent Ricoh Group, Tokyo, posted worldwide sales of about $23 billion in its most recent fiscal year.
