CES 2022: HP Reveals Laptops With New AMD CPUs
HP’s EliteBook 805 G9 Series of PCs will have Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system and AMD’s Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processors
Hewlett-Packard has revealed its first laptops with AMD’s new Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processors. The EliteBook 805 G9 Series of PCs should go on sale in April.
HP’s EliteBook 805 G9 Series of PCs will have Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system and AMD’s Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processors, according to the Palo Alto, Calif.-based vendor. Price information for the HP EliteBook 835 G9, HP EliteBook 845 G9 and HP EliteBook 865 G9 will become available closer to April.
The news comes during CES 2022, held in person in Las Vegas and online.

The laptops weigh less than 4.5 pounds and have 16-inch screens available with the goal of reducing scrolling. The laptop has a larger clickpad ratio, redesigned keyboard and rounded, tapered edges, according to HP.
The 805 G9 Series have 5mp cameras, the HP Auto Frame feature that keeps users in frame as they move and two amps. The series has HP Dynamic Voice Leveling to automatically optimize voice clarity and noise reduction powered by artificial intelligence. Users can customize settings for conferencing in the myHP application.
Later this month, HP will release its new EliteBook 605 Series of PCs. The EliteBook 645 G9 and EliteBook 655 G9 have AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processors with PRO technologies, plus a high-definition camera with temporal noise reduction. The series also has Wolf Security and HP Tamper Lock, which can lock PCs physically opened or compromised.
The HP EliteBook 645 G9 and HP EliteBook 655 G9 should go on sale with a starting price of $1,149. The HP ProBook 445 G9 and HP ProBook 455 G9 – also expected to drop this month – will have a starting price of $849.
The ProBook 445 G9, ProBook 455 G9 and Pro 435 x360 G9 have AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 Series processors, an infrared camera, an HD camera, Wolf Security and Tamper Lock.
The Pro 435 x360 will come later in the year, with expected availability in April, according to HP. The convertible PC has up to 32GB of memory, up to 2TB of storage and four use modes.
