CRN Podcast: VMware Grapples With Licensing Fallout, Charts Cloud Course

The software company has established itself as the unquestioned leader in enterprise virtualization and recently unleashed of host of new products, including vSphere 5 and Site Recovery Manager 5, to further strengthen that position.

But VMware is also grappling with unhappy customers and partners who were miffed by licensing changes for vSphere 5, which has forced the company and CEO Paul Maritz to do some damage control. VMware is also working diligently to branch out beyond its core virtualization business and move more into cloud computing with efforts such as Cloud Foundry.
