Dell Hires Former HP Networking, Acquisitions Boss Haas

Haas' move to Dell was first reported Tuesday by All Things D. Haas will replace Brad Anderson, who had led Dell Enterprise Solutions since 2005, and whom Dell in a statement said "made a personal decision to seek new opportunities."

Haas was most recently at private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts Co., which he joined last year as an industry advisor focused on helping the KKR team identify and pursue new investments in the technology sector. But, he's well known in the industry for the three years he spent as senior vice president and worldwide general manager for HP Networking, and before that his stint as senior vice president, chief strategy officer and global head of corporate M&A for HP from 2003 to 2008.

At Dell, Haas will lead the company's enterprise push, focused on its data center, storage, servers, networking and security segments.

KKR representatives contacted by CRN did not return a request for comment.
