NinjaRMM Rebrands To NinjaOne, Outgrowing ‘One-Product Company’ Origins

Today we’re more of a platform now because we’re going to be shipping out more products towards the end of the year, so NinjaOne just felt more appropriate as a name as we turn into platform.’
NinjaRMM is rebranding to NinjaOne after the remote monitoring and management company has grown from offering one platform to multiple, with more to come in the future.
NinjaOne unveiled its new name and logo this week, and a rebrand as a unified IT operations software company focused on solving modern challenges and needs of IT management.
“NinjaRMM was the name of the company when we started it and we were a one-product company,” Sal Sferlazza, NinjaOne CEO, told CRN. ”That acronym, remote monitoring and management, is the name of the product that we built. Today we’re more of a platform now because we’re going to be shipping out more products towards the end of the year, so NinjaOne just felt more appropriate as a name as we turn to more platforms.”
He said the rebranding is part of a greater strategy as the company look for opportunities to leverage and consolidate parts of the IT stack into one compelling platform.
“There’s a few benefits,” he said. ”One is we can leverage all of the hard work we’ve done with NinjaRMM, and any new products we build we can make sure all of those points are secure. And we can make them the best in the market, just like what we’ve done with NinjaRMM.”
The most important factor, he said, is not the release of more products but the workload and interplay between them.

“How can we stay in the same console and then, in the long term, continue to look for additional products that we can add into this platform,” he said.
Sferlazza stressed that the only thing changing is the name. The rebrand will not impact its partners or customers at all.
NinjaOne’s product roadmap over the next year includes new features, integrations, and products all designed to deliver a seamless experience that makes IT more effective, productive and secure. Sferlazza would not give any additional details on products coming out later this year and in 2022.
Over the last year, NinjaOne has been rapidly growing with revenue increasing by 75 percent year-over-year with the releases of Ninja Ticking, Ninja Documentation and Ninja Data Protection. The privately held company declined to disclose revenue figures. The Austin, Texas-based company now has more than 300 employees and more than 6,000 customers.

We recognize that MSPs and resellers are an important part of NinjaOne’s growth story now and in the future,” said NinjaOne Chief Revenue Officer Dean Yeck, in a statement. “All around the world, MSPs and resellers are seeing greater demand for their services, and we’re proud to be a partner that helps them scale.”
Sferlazza added that the name change reflects the company’s vision of a platform that makes IT operations run more efficiently.
“When we started NinjaRMM, we set out to build a highly disruptive SaaS solution that combined power and simplicity to shake up the status quo,“ he said. ”We’ve grown since those early days into a multi-product company that unifies IT operations. NinjaOne is a product built for the future, and I couldn’t be more excited for the next generation of IT software.”
