M5 Acquires Hosted VoIP Specialist Geckotech
Both companies have robust channel programs. M5, based in New York, will take over Geckoteck's operations and its customers, who will be seamlessly integrated onto M5's systems throughout the next year, and will be able to use M5's Call Conductor platform on their existing phones.
According to a statement on M5's Website, Chicago-based Geckotech was looking to overhaul its technology platform and found Call Conductor to be the best fit for upgrading its customer experience.
"M5 has been the leader in this industry since they pioneered it 10 years ago," said Josh Robbins, Geckotech CEO, in a statement. "They've built great technology, which we can't wait to utilize for our shared customer base. Together we can enable our customers to use advanced phone system technology to become more efficient and informed organizations."
Robbins will become M5 Networks' vice president of business development. M5 Vice President Kerrin Parker will relocate to Chicago to spearhead the integration, according to M5.
"We have built the best delivery system and back office in the business and are excited to offer it to another customer base," said Dan Hoffman, president and CEO of M5, in a statement. "Josh has done an exceptional job of building a profitable, customer-focused hosted provider. I'm thrilled to work closely with him and Geckotech's experienced team."
M5 was named to CRN's list of the 75 Coolest Telecom Service Providers this year.
