StillSecure Rolls Out New Public Cloud Security Capabilities

The company’s Cloud Network Security Appliance (NSA) is being positioned as a viable, more efficient alternative to “outboard” security appliances. The enhancement enables customers and partners to easily spin up a managed security cloud server within the public cloud infrastructure of virtually any service provider that supports CentOS, a free operating system distribution based upon the Linux kernel.

Inline services include Managed firewall VPN, Web filtering, log management, vulnerability scanning, authentication, and a host of other features that can either be combined into bundles or sold a la carte. There is also support for third party devices, as well as StillSecure’s PCI compliance service, branded “PCI Complete.”

“We believe that customers want security delivered to them as a managed service,” said Rajat Bhargava, CEO of the 12 year old company. “We can deploy inside of any public cloud because we have an instance and an image that could come from any number of different players, such as Rackspace. We can then take this application stack and secure it across the public cloud as though it were in the private cloud.”

The pricing model is based on the types of services being contracted, with fees further scaled based on bundling, bandwidth, and the number of servers and devices that are covered. The company also provides a user/partner portal that accesses discovered threats and alerts accordingly.
