What Infinidat’s New Distributor, immixGroup, Means To The Channel
‘Through immixGroup, we now have access to government contract vehicles and a government-focused partner ecosystem that will help us grow our business more rapidly in the U.S. public sector,’ Infinidat’s Mitch Diodato tells CRNtv.
Infinidat has inked a deal with immixGroup, an Arrow Electronics company, to be its public sector distributor, creating new opportunities for channel partners to grow their business and sell within the government space.
“Through immixGroup, we now have access to government contract vehicles and a government-focused partner ecosystem that will help us grow our business more rapidly in the U.S. public sector,” Mitch Diodato, director of North American channel sales at Infinidat, told CRNtv.
The multi-petabyte data storage developer recently signed an agreement that states immixGroup will add Infinidat’s storage platform and services to its U.S.-based federal, state and local government purchasing vehicles.
“So everybody thinks distribution is kind of a middle man and that they fulfill orders, but really there’s a whole segment of analytics that we get from distribution—[for example,] who partners are doing business with, what they’re selling, what their strengths are, [and] they make introductions for us,” said Diodato.
“We’re going to get some similar things around the federal government space [with the new partnership]. So we’ll get introductions to new partners, we’ll have new markets and new opportunities, and we’ll be able to introduce the federal government to the best storage products in the industry today.”
