At the same time, existing AWS partners are taking their partnership with the cloud giant to the next level by working toward AWS technical competencies in solution areas such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, migration, security and DevOps, and industries including financial services, life sciences and education.
Here are 15 solution providers that have earned new AWS competencies and those that are newly minted Premier and Consulting Partners.
1Strategy Attains Premier Consulting Partner Status
1Strategy, a solution provider focused exclusively on AWS, has now reached the rank of Premier Consulting Partner. Premier Consulting Partner status, the highest tier within the APN, enhances 1Strategy's ability to deliver the most current and accurate information available from AWS to its customers. The latest status shows that 1Strategy can help businesses architect and migrate workloads to AWS cost-effectively, according to the Bellevue, Wash.-based company.
ClearData Achieves AWS DevOps Competency
ClearData is taking its relationship with AWS to the next level by procuring more technical competencies.
The Austin, Texas-based company now has three competencies, with its latest being the DevOps Competency. Achieving the newest competency lets ClearData continue to push health-care innovation by letting its customers use native AWS services that accelerate application development, all while adhering to health-care regulations, including HIPAA, ClearData said.
Cloudability Achieves Cloud Management Tools Competency Status
Cloud spend optimization solution provider Cloudability, an APN member, nabbed a Cloud Management Tools Competency last month.
The Portland, Ore.-based company assists customers with provisioning and managing AWS workloads using specialized solutions for administering and provisioning, managing and optimizing AWS resources. The latest designation recognizes that Cloudability has demonstrated technical proficiency with resource and cost optimization.
CloudAlly Lands Advanced Consulting Partner Status
CloudAlly is an Israel-based cloud backup solution provider that offers products for Office 365, G-Suite and Salesforce. The solution provider recently achieved Advanced Consulting Partner status in the AWS APN.
The designation will help CloudAlly provide its cloud-to-cloud backup and restore solution for Office 365, G Suite and Salesforce, and Box.com solutions to customers on AWS, according to the company.
Cloud Conformity Awarded Cloud Management Tools
Cloud security solution provider Cloud Conformity, an AWS partner network member, has just gained a Cloud Management Tools Competency.
Cloud Conformity focuses on cloud infrastructure monitoring and governance. The latest designation recognizes Cloud Conformity as a company with the expertise to help AWS customers with provisioning and managing AWS workloads, using specialized solutions for administering, provisioning, managing and optimizing AWS resources, the Australia-based company said.
Cyxtera Technologies Gains AWS Security Competency Status
Solution provider newcomer Cyxtera Technologies has earned an AWS Security Competency for its AppGate software-defined perimeter solution and expertise in infrastructure security.
Coral Gables, Fla.-based Cyxtera Technologies was founded in 2017. AppGate SDP is a software-defined perimeter solution built for the cloud that ensures only authorized users can connect over an encrypted connection to cloud instances and resources, according to the solution provider.
EMnify Achieves AWS IoT Competency Status
EMnify, a solution provider that offers an IoT and machine-to-machine connectivity management platform to business customers, now has an AWS IoT Competency under its belt.
Gaining the latest competency differentiates EMnify as an APN member that has demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success. EMnify went through an assessment of the security, performance and reliability of its solutions to obtain its new competency, the German company said.
Ensono Lands AWS Managed Service Provider Partner Status
Solution provider Ensono has just won the highly sought-after AWS MSP Partner status following a thorough third-party audit process.
The Downers Grove, Ill.-based solution provider's highly consultative approach to client engagement and well-rounded security service offerings were noted as factors in its latest designation, according to Ensono.
Graebert GmbH Achieves AWS Industrial Software Competency Status
Graebert GmbH is a German developer of high-performance computer-aided design (CAD) solutions that has just achieved Industrial Software Competency status.
Graebert's CAD solutions work across desktop, mobile and cloud environments. The latest designation says that the company has been successful in offering specialized software solutions to companies in process and discrete manufacturing industries that have been able to decrease production and operational costs in their value chain.
Moogsoft Achieves AWS Cloud Management Tools Competency
Moogsoft, a solution provider focused on artificial intelligence for IT operations, has achieved Cloud Management Tools Competency status.
The San Francisco-based company helps AWS customers manage AWS workloads and optimize AWS operational management. The latest status proves that Moogsoft specializes in monitoring, event and issue management through its technology that uses patented AI and machine learning to detect incidents and orchestrate workflows across hybrid IT environments, the company said.
nClouds Nabs Premier Consulting Partner Status
AWS and DevOps Consultant nClouds is now a Premier Consulting Partner in the APN, the highest tier within the APN for Consulting Partners.
Premier Consulting Partners have proven that they have built healthy revenue around AWS. San Francisco-based nClouds is also the owner of several AWS competencies and designations, including Managed Service Partner, DevOps Competency, Migration Competency, Well-Architected Partner, AWS Service Catalog Partner and AWS CloudFormation Partner.
OST Achieves Advanced Consulting Partner Status
OST, a solution provider that focuses on cloud, IoT, and IT consultancy services, is newly minted Advanced Consulting Partner in the APN.
Becoming an APN Advanced Consulting Partner means that OST has invested significantly in its AWS practice. OST has experience in deploying solutions on AWS through its team of accredited and certified technical consultants, according to the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based company.
Strategic Blue Achieves AWS Education Competency Status
Strategic Blue, a cloud solution provider, has just gained an AWS Education Competency.
The London-based solution provider specializes in helping public and private sector customers procure cloud services. The latest competency recognizes that Strategic Blue has expertise working with education customers to identify cost-effective cloud services that supports their workloads and applications on AWS, the company said.
Sungard AS Has Achieved AWS MSP Partner Status
Sungard Availability Services (AS) has done what only a handful of partners have been able to accomplish so far, achieving AWS MSP Partner status after meeting the criteria of an independent audit.
The company's latest designation sets Sungard's disaster recovery solutions apart from the pack and demonstrates that it focuses on the delivery of resilient, recoverable IT solutions on AWS, the Wayne, Pa.-based company said.

Turbonomic, a workload automation provider, specializes in helping customers manage, optimize and govern AWS workloads. The company in September gained a Cloud Management Tools Competency.
The latest competency recognizes Turbonomic as a provider that can deliver a real-time view of workload consumption across IaaS, PaaS and KaaS environments, and make configuration recommendations for compute and storage resources at a low cost, according to the Boston-based company.
