Salesforce.com's Dreamforce 2011 kicks off this week at San Francisco's Moscone Center. Billed as the ultimate cloud computing conference, the ninth annual Dreamforce will focus on the "social enterprise," a convergence of social, mobile and open cloud technologies to fuel communication, collaboration and business.
With nearly 40,000 people expected to register for Dreamforce, here are eight hot new products to see at Dreamforce that are taking the social enterprise trend and running with it.
Cloud Extend For Salesforce
Cloud Extend for Salesforce will debut at Dreamforce 2011, putting sales and marketing professionals in control of designing and deploying sales guides and processes. Cloud Extend champions the business user with an application that automates sales processes, yet it boasts that it is simple to learn and use, requiring no technical skills whatsoever -- a point the company said is confirmed by its partners, which include consultants and system integrators Tech Mahindra, Bluewolf and Baker Communications.
LiveOffice Outlook Email Connector For Salesforce
LiveOffice will announce a new app at Dreamforce 2011, the LiveOffice Outlook Email Connector for Salesforce. LiveOffice Outlook Email Connector for Salesforce stores and indexes all e-mails, attachments and Salesforce Chatter posts in the LiveOffice cloud for free. The new app eliminates additional storages fees associated with attachments, which can often cost thousands of dollars a year, which could result from storing this information in Salesforce, and avoids technical problems created by other plug-ins currently on the market. LiveOffice Outlook Email Connector for Salesforce is available now through LiveOffice and will be on AppExchange soon.
Xactly Express 2.3
At Dreamforce 2011, Xactly will unveil the latest version of its Xactly Express offering, version 2.3, which adds new enhancements like support for 155 global currencies, the ability to split commissions between sales reps and plan modeling. Other improvements allow sales reps and management to get a clear view into current and potential quota attainment. Xactly Express is built natively on Salesforce's Force.com platform and gives SMBs the ability to manage sales commission tracking and payments without hardware or other service investments. Also at Dreamforce, Xactly will reveal that it has brought aboard its 130th Xactly Express customer.
Angel IVR
Angel will update its cloud-based IVR and contact solutions, which initially integrated with Salesforce in 2006. At Dreamforce 2011, Angel will showcase new voice solution availability on Force.com. According to Angel, its contact center is now on AppExchange. With that, Angel is deepening its integration with Salesforce and has rebuilt its contact center supervisor and agent monitors on the Foce.com platform, which now includes complete contact center reporting. Salesforce users can now collect survey data complete with audio recordings of open-ended questions, capture contact information from phone conversations or record phone calls for compliance. All of this data is immediately captured and stored into Salesforce, enabling more informed interactions with customers.
M5 Business SMS For Salesforce
M5 Networks and cloud provider Bluewolf will showcase M5 Business SMS for Salesforce, which lets users of M5 phones send and receive text messages directly from their business phone numbers. M5 Business SMS for Salesforce will let MF clients integrate SMS messages directly into their Salesforce CRM software. M5 said integrating text-based communication into the Salesforce's Service Cloud makes SMS another measurable service channel and can improve the tracking of conversations while creating records of customer communications. And because the business phone number is used for SMS messaging, there is no need for a separate phone number or mobile device.
Cameleon Cloud CPQ For Salesforce For Apple iPad And iPhone
Cameleon will showcase its Cameleon Cloud CPQ for Salesforce for the Apple iPad and iPhone at Dreamforce 2011 in San Francisco this week. Cameleon gives Salesforce users the ability to automate the quotation process from their mobile devices. According to Cameleon, the iPad and iPhone application assists users in the guided selling process and product configuration. Users are able to evaluate the customer's needs, configure a product, and provide a quote from anywhere their mobile device has an Internet connection.
All information is securely saved to Salesforce's CRM in the opportunity or the quote object. Once the sales representative is back in the office he or she can edit it, create formal PDF quotes, or finalize it with the customer.
KnowledgeVision Talking Landing Page
At Dreamforce, interactive sales, marketing and training presentation player KnowledgeVision will announce the availability of The Talking Landing Page, a new feature that accompanies the company's flagship product, KVStudio. Instead of being met with a static form to capture visitor contact information, Talking Landing Pages give potential sales leads a video-enhanced, multimedia experience. Talking Landing Pages can be created on any of the most popular marketing automation and CRM platforms, including Salesforce, Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot and HubSpot.
New Relic Application Performance Management For Heroku
At Dreamforce 2011, New Relic will highlight that Heroku, a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider that Salesforce acquired last year, has selected New Relic as its application performance management (APM) tool of choice for monitoring Web applications deployed on its new Java platform. New Relic Standard edition for Java will be available free of charge to Heroku's Java customers just as it is available today for customers deploying business-critical Ruby web apps on Heroku's robust, proven platform.
