The New Generation Of IoT Companies
The Internet of Things has been one of the most dynamic segments of the IT industry in recent years. Gartner expects the enterprise and automotive IoT market to reach 5.8 billion endpoints this year, up from 4.8 billion at the end of 2019, with utilities, building management and physical security the leading areas of IoT system implementations. Revenue generated by endpoint electronics will total $389 billion globally, according to the market research firm.
Not surprisingly, the IoT explosion has spawned a wave of startups developing innovative technologies to meet the often-unique needs of businesses and organizations as they develop, deploy, manage and secure IoT networks and apply business analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning to collected data
