CES 2015: Lenovo Unleashes 8 ThinkPads And SMB Accessories
Welcome To The Family
Lenovo hit the ground running here at CES 2015, unveiling late Sunday night eight new ThinkPad laptops along with a new ThinkPad Stack system to help declutter the desktop. The new ThinkPads are part of a complete refresh of the popular notebook line that includes new thin and light models, workhorse laptops and mammoth desktop replacement systems.
Here is a quick overview of Lenovo's new ThinkPad family lineup announced here at CES 2015.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon
Lenovo unleashed a 14-inch ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop that couples an HD touch screen with a thin and light form factor. Lenovo said its rugged case is up for everyday use with its 0.73-inch-thick and 2.9-pound chassis. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon has a base configuration price of $1,250 and is available later this month.
ThinkPad X250
Lenovo's 12.5-inch X250 ThinkPad weighs in at 2.88 pounds, sports a 0.8-inch-thick body and features Lenovo's Power Bridge technology that allows for hot-swappable battery replacements. The X250 has a starting price of $1,150 and will be available in February.
ThinkVision X24
The ThinkVision X24 monitor measures 23.8 inches and prominently features a svelte form factor for helping keep desktops clear of a big monitor footprint. The 1,920-x-1,080 display is only 7.5mm thin and has a very thin bezel that allows an "unobstructed" side-by-side dual-monitor setup, according to Lenovo. The ThinkVision X24 display supports both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs.
ThinkPad Stack Accessories
Lenovo's new ThinkPad Stack system is a stackable group of Lenovo accessories designed to help easily manage core mobile accessories with zero clutter headaches. Using a Lego-like snap and stack technology, Lenovo offers a modular Bluetooth speaker with noise-cancelling microphone ($90), a dual-port USB power bank ($50), a Wi-Fi access point to share a 4G phone connection ($200), a 20k mAh power bank and 1 TB HHD.
Lenovo also offers software to manage the whole stack when the 1 TB of storage and the HHD are paired with the Lenovo Access point.
ThinkPad T450s
The Lenovo T450 family of notebooks each feature Intel's just-announced fifth-generation Core M "Broadwell" chip technology. The 14-inch T450s sports Intel's i7 processor, a 0.83-inch-thick chassis and weighs 3.5 pounds. It also features the Power Bridge hot-swappable battery technology. The business-class Ultrabook is backed by Lenovo's business-class service and support, and has a starting price of $1,100.
Thanks to the power-saving chip upgrade, this ThinkPad T450s has an excellent battery life of 17 hours.

Like its brethren, the T450 includes the Intel fifth-gen Broadwell power-sipping chip and also the Power Bridge hot-swappable battery technology.
