Fast-Growing Solution Provider Unitas Global Acquires Solinea To Create 'Next-Generation' Cloud Platform
Fast-growing solution provider Unitas Global Thursday said it acquired cloud consulting firm Solinea as the company continues to enhance its hybrid cloud strategy and boost enterprise sales.
"This will immediately give our clients a single trusted partner to help with cloud strategy enablement, adoption and cloud infrastructure management," said Patrick Shutt, CEO of Unitas Global, ranked No. 455 on the CRN 2017 Solution Provider 500 list. "By acquiring Solinea, Unitas Global enhances its ability to deliver targeted business outcomes in partnership with our clients, expanding beyond our current core competencies as an infrastructure-focused service provider."
Los-Angeles-based Unitas Global was named to the CRN 2017 Fast Growth 150 solution provider list, with a two-year growth rate of 330 percent. The company's flagship Unitas Enterprise Private Cloud offering provides customers with a custom and secure cloud-based IT environment that is fully managed and backed by an end-to-end SLA.

The acquisition of Solinea strengthens Unitas' ability to provide customers with seamless cloud adoption for end-to-end hybrid cloud solutions.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Solinea touts itself as a leading cloud adoption consulting firm focused on accelerating adoption of enterprise hybrid cloud solutions.
"In addition to developing cloud adoption strategies, the Solinea acquisition brings new services to the Unitas Global offering. These include multi-cloud design and implementation, container and microservices (Kubernetes) enablement, managed DevOps-as-a-Service, CI/CD pipeline tooling and management, and application migration expertise," said Grant Kirkwood, CTO of Unitas Global, in a statement. "We plan to build on these services to create a next-generation cloud transformation platform for our enterprise clients."
In 2016, Unitas Global acquired solution provider Alexander Open Systems' cloud services business along with dozens of operations engineers.
